Kingdom Come
independent
Independent the title speaks for itself.
Free your mind, free your heart, free your soul.
Independent but mine! Lenny Wolf finally found his home.
When I started preparing for this album I had a pretty clear vision of what I wanted, but knew exactly what it was that I DIDN`T want. I wanted to do a Kingdom Come-album without any pathos from the past. I wanted modern elements without trying to be trendy. I wanted to make it really rock without trying too hard. Wolf explains.
When I started the recordings I was thinking of a lot of musicians to call in for guitar, bass and keyboards. But the deeper I dug into the songs the clearer it became: I couldn´t waste my time by telling others what I had in mind. I HAD to do it by myself.
Said and done. Lenny played every instrument but the drums himself and also took care of the entire production.
I relayed to much on other people in the past, and found myself left alone in the end too many times. That´s different now.
From the opener I can feel it via the epic Mother and Didn´t understand to the musical bulldog Easy talkin´hardline the album shows the whole spectrum of the Kingdom Come-repertoire and more. New stylistic trips à la Religion needs no winner make the already interesting sound-picture even more rich.
America is an autobiographic statement, meant as a ´hats off´ for Kingdom Come´s start in the USA.
As you notice, the Wolf is serious, or as he puts it: Nice, nice, nice!
buy it!
